About This Game "Feed me, or I'll reap your soul!"And with those ridiculous words, my whole life was turned upside down.Sakuraba Rie, aged nine, is a cynical and grumpy girl who cares little for her fellow classmates, and does not have a single friend. That is, until a self-proclaimed demon from the deepest, darkest pits of Hell suddenly appears in Rie's kitchen and steals a tray of cookies. What will happen between these two young girls? Will friendship blossom between them, or perhaps something more? That is up to the reader to decide - but rest assured, no matter what, there will lots and lots of delicious food! From Ebi-Hime, creator of "Asphyxia" and "The Way We ALL GO" comes "Strawberry Vinegar" a slice-of-life story with food, cute demons, yuri, and more food. a09c17d780 Title: Strawberry VinegarGenre: Adventure, Casual, IndieDeveloper:ebi-himePublisher:ebi-himeRelease Date: 5 Jan, 2016 Strawberry Vinegar Download Epic Games If you like food and cute girls this is a VN for you. Nice amount of choices and couple different endings. Never had a game that made me crave food from home so much. I had to actually make Dango the other night thanks to this game I craved it so much from this VN.. I've played ton's of VN's, Don't always write reviews on them.. just the one's that stand out the extra mile! Strawberry Vinegar was cute all the way through! I try to limit my screen shots to a limited amount per game but unfortunately with this one I just couldn't stop.. the food in this game looked SO GOOD!! Beautiful game, beautiful artwork, a decent story, really hard not to like it & rate it up! :) I love cooking & with this, I was just too excited to see what meal would come up next.. I even had to find real recipes online for some and make them myself at home to enjoy. Opened up a totally new dinner menu for me this month ;) <3. Another wonderful Ebi-Hime yuri game. It’s getting to be a habit :) This one is about food. Well, not really, but kind’a. No, it’s about a little demon girl from hell threatening to reap your soul if you don’t feed her… So, you feed her, or this is one short game, lemme tell ya’. -Of course, the demon turns out to be quite lovely and enchanting (as long as you feed her!). It’s a lovely journey through some of Japan’s most well-known dishes, along with images and descriptions thereof (yes, you will raid your cupboards, pantries and fridges more than once during this game). And it’s quite a long game too, at least if you want to explore all the roads and avenues our main characters can travel. Lovely game, long game, highly recommended, and now I’m hungry again…. Strawberry Vinegar is a short and sweet VN about food and demons. While this seems like an odd theme for a VN, it works out surprisingly well. ebi-hime's VN's never fail to deliver an interesting story packed with emotion and solid writing. You follow the story of Rie, a nine year old girl who is not fond of other people. Licia, a demon of gluttony, appears to her one day threatening to take her soul if Rie doesn't feed her. The two bond over various sweets and foods, leaving player choice to decide what their bond turns into. Overall the story is very cute with a very fitting fluffy pastry theme and features a potential friendship and/or romance between younger characters which is not too common in most VN's I've read. As with most of ebi-hime's cuter novels, there's a fair share of sadness and comedy as well as sweet mushy romance. The VN makes for a nice mix of unique combonations that somehow work perfectly together. My one biggest complaint about this VN is that the additional content found in the author's notes was scrapped. There was so much potential for Licia to have sisters for every sin (she herself representing gluttony), and while they had designs and names planned out they were removed. I would have loved to see a longer cut of this VN with their story lines added, or maybe a sequel with otome elements and additonal characters. Speaking of the additional content, the art is very pleasing to look at, and the music gives the story just a little bit more life. While it may not be everyone's preferred anime-esque style it certainly is a favorite of mine and really ties the entire VN together. I always have high praises for ebi-hime's visual novels, and Strawberry Vinegar is no different. If you like cute romance stories, VNs about food or demons (or both), give this one a read and check out ebi-hime's other work as well.. I love this game to pieces. It's a nice little game about a nine year old girl, far too mature and cynical for her age, who gets forced into cooking for a little demon. The writing is great, providing both charming characters and fun humor, as well as descriptions of food that makes you want to try eat the screen. As a slice-of-life VN it works really great, and the epilogues were surprisingly rewarding. (Wish there was more epilogue, I want to see even more of that romance.) One thing I personally would want to highlight is the parents of the main characters and the relationship they share. The mother and father are living in a BDSM relationship that seems to impact every aspect of their everyday life, something their daughter notices and reflects on. The father is really submissive, and basically functions as a cute housewife living to serve his mistress. The childs perspective on their parents BDSM relationship is really interesting in itself, and her insight provides some character growth to her parents. I really wasn't expecting this from a yuri VN that seemed to only be about fluff and food, but I adored what I got.One of my main personal negatives would be the age of the main characters. With characters as young as nine years old I found it hard to relate to the romance. However, with them both being far too mature for their age it never felt like they were as child-like as you would expect children who actually were nine, so that could really help those of us who have a hard time relating to romance between kids. (And the epilogue is fantastic, which totally helps. Did I mention the epilogue being good?)(For anyone ever planning on making their own game like this:) The user interface can't seem to decide on whether to call the settings for "Preferences" or "Options". This is a minor problem with a minor fix; having consistent naming for screens and tools in UIs generally makes using it flow more smoothly for users.. Another wonderful Ebi-Hime yuri game. Super cute and relaxing. I loved both of the happy endings: 'Sweetness and Light' & 'Strawberry Kisses'. All of the badges, emotes, and backgrounds are also really cute. ♥♥. When I bought this game, I thought it was going to be just like other visual novels, but I wasn't prepared for the amount of cuteness in this game! The are style is fantastic and beautiful. The music was really great and each character going through different emotions was wonderful. The different routes you can take in the game was amazing because you can either get a bad ending or a good ending and I think this game was really funny a lot of the time and was an enjoyable experience and I would gladly recommend this game and play it over and over!. Strawberry Vinegar is a very short and sweet yuri VN.Yet another sweet novel from ebi-hime, it's really cute and has a fun a story about two girls, one of which is a demon who is always hungry. It's very lighthearted and can be completed in one sitting. You will get to see a growing friendship, silly parents and their relationship, a lot of different food, funny and cute moments. - Pretty visuals.- Fun characters.- Interesting story.- A LOT of delicious looking food CG's.- Sweet yuri elements, don't expect some lewd stuff here.- Multiple endings.Highly recommend if you're looking for a lighthearted read with a cute story and pretty visuals, or simply enjoy novels made by ebi-hime.
