The game is entirely unplayable due to its difficulty setting which I started on "Piece of cake" the easiest setting. However after being killed 30 times in the first minute it became apparent this setting was super impossible. You die, restart and die immediately. One hit is enough to end your life. I used to play this loads and have completed it many times but I never remembered it being this difficult. The devs have ruined a perfectly good game because unless you like restarting every 2 seconds its unlikely this game will stay in your library. Stick with the original game as that was playable. This is a joke - not a very funny one at that.. Has an odd input lag, not sure if it's just me or not. Graphics look improved quite a bit here and there. They have new voice lines for Duke though I must say I'm not a fan of them. The original ones sounded better, Thankfully there is an option to use the classic voice. Weapons feel balanced differently which is odd. Some of the old bugs are still in the game after all these years which is a bit laughable I have to say, and there's new ones such as your use input seemingly just ceasing to function at random for no reason. The Music is more or less the same, sound effects are still goodAnd even though i was a huge fan of Duke 3D as kid, I'm not sure how to feel about this version of the game. Honestly if the input lag were to be fixed or if someone knows of a fix for it, I could recommend this game but As it stands I'm down the middle on this one.I give it an Eh out of 10. Gotta say, when you scrub the rest of the franchise and you release this sub par trash, you earn a auto tumbs down. the commentary is fun. However, Randy is garbage and so are his decisions. So we back in the minegot our pickaxe swinging from side to sidesidesideto sideto mine some diamonds tonig. One of the best FPS from the 90's besides DOOM, but with another great axxkicking original soundtrack! - Would I recommend this to anyone? Hell Yeah! WTF not?!. It's time to kick bubblegum and chew♥♥♥♥♥and I'm all out of♥♥♥♥. Forced mouse smoothing without an option to turn it off and no expansions like Duke it out in DC, Duke Caribbean, Nuclear Winter, etc. This is clearly inferior to the Megaton Edition which was removed from Steam. The only reason to buy this would be for the new expansion exclusive to the World Tour version.. Great remaster of the original with advanced lighting and redone voice lines from Jon St John himself, includes the original 3 episodes, The Birth and a brand new episode made exclusively for this release made by the original developers. Workshop support adds new player created maps for singleplayer/co-op as well as deathmatch. The DC and Tropical add-ons are sadly absent though.
